Are you there god it’s me Margaret, is an interesting and very girlie book.
The book is about a young 12 year old girl called Margaret who moves to a new town and desperately wants to fit in with all of her new friends…….. But her new friends have a religion. Margaret doesn’t feel that she can tell her friends that she can talk to god and not have a religion at the same time. During the book Margaret and her new friends form a group to talk about boys, getting their first periods and bras. While Margaret is juggling whether to tell or to not tell her friends that she doesn’t have a religion.
Enjoy reading a book that makes you feel a lot more comfortable about yourself and lets you imagine what’s really happening in Margaret’s life.
I had a lot of empathy with Margaret and could relate to her problems.
My favourite bit is when she does some jaywalking and waits for God to save her.
She is a very cool character.

Hi, I’m from Canada. Anyways I read this book. When I did I loved it. Not really because I could relate to it, it was just funny. Which book of Judy Blumes was your favourite? I’d have to say this one, ‘Are You There God It’s Margaret?’ and ‘Here’s To You Rachel Robinson’. Those were my two favourites. I think you should read ‘Here’s To You Rachel Robinson’. It’s about a girl that stressing out a lot. Then her brother that’s causes lots of trouble got expelled from boarding school and had to move back. It deals with falling in love and everything. Well hopefully you’ll reply soon bye.
